April 2019

April RecapIn April we had so much fun learning about Australia; the animals, cultural, and traditions. The children loved to learn about the animals that live there like Koalas, Kangaroos, and Dingoes. We learned that Kangaroo babies are called a Joey. We also learned that Kangaroos and Koalas are marsupials which means that they carry their babies in a pouch. We even got to paint our very own aboriginal dot paintings. The children also learned about islands and volcanoes. One of our fun science projects we did was creating our own paper volcanoes and erupting them outside. The children really enjoyed this activity. For the Week Of The Young Child, we got to create many small projects that built on their lessons. We learned the importance of taking care of our planet, created a fun trail mix with our friends, create paper lunch bag kites, and most importantly creating a family tree with our parents. Our egg hunt was also a big success, the children had lots of fun finding the hidden eggs.

Summer 2019

Summer NewsSummertime is here! In July and August, we will be taking a step back from our daily routine and we will be introducing new and fun curriculum for the children. Some of the fun activities include the Birch aquarium, a magic show, bubble mania and a summer carnival. Our themes will be underwater adventures, outer space travel, down by the farm, spirit week, and fun fitness week. We can’t wait for summertime to begin, but with all the fun we have to make sure the children are safe. Please apply sunscreen on the children in the morning time, we will be reapplying in the afternoon. Also check their cubbies to see if they have weather appropriate clothes. Thank you!
